Decentralized units responsible for their goal

The delta-t COCKPIT AI Copilot guides to organize by goal accountable units, recognizing that constraints to the goal are specific to units.

It can handle an unlimited number of units, organized in groups and sub-groups, and as hierarchical and/or matrix set up.

Unit constraints: Continuously identified

“Spending any effort on initiatives not resolving constraints is a waste of time and money, and has no impact on achieving the goal” (Eli Goldratt)

The delta-t COCKPIT AI Copilot alerts management to a unit in constraint by presenting the deviating from the goal by unit.

In our example unit EUROPE faces a constraint which requires initiatives to resolve.

1-page sprint plans of optimal initiatives

The delta-t COCKPIT AI Copilot guides to design one-page operational plans comprising a unit’s constraint focussed initiatives.

In TOC terms these are “prerequisite trees” (see Dettmer, “The logical thinking process”)

Reading from right to left (direction selectable in delta-t COCKPIT) such plans comprise:

  • Critical success factors: The state of constraint resolved (e.g. two constraints to be resolved)
  • Competitors plans: Not just competitors in same industry – but leaders in addressing the constraint we must resolve.
  • Necessary conditions: Results to be achieved to resolve the constraints.
  • Obstacles: To overcome to achieve the necessary conditions.
  • Commitments: Results to be achieved to overcome the obstacles.

Deliver sprint plans: Robust execution

For leading execution of constraint resolving initiatives, below the goal chart the delta-t COCKPIT AI Copilot displays the list of goal related obligations, with due date, owner, plan, type, obligation and status.
